Caitlin Ross

Caitlin Ross is finishing her Master of Social Science (MHSS) in the Social Justice Track. She earned her B.A. in History from the University of Iowa in 2011. After she graduated, she spent time as a political organizer and then a high school teacher. She is excited to return to the classroom at Denver’s North High School this fall to coach fellow teachers and offer concurrent enrollment classes to students. During her time at CU Denver she split her time among the Political Science, Ethnic Studies, and History Departments to examine how knowledge, race, and national identity are produced and interconnected. She is particularly interested in studying how public education has been used to construct a white supremacist democracy so that educators may better plan how to reverse this historical trend.
